Professor Jeremy Bagg, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Colloege, is leading the charge for the HOPE Foundation at the Kiltwalk in Glasgow on 28th April 2019.
Along with colleagues, he will be raising funds for HOPE Foundation, the charitable fudn of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He will be joined by Mike McKirdy, Chairman of HOPE Foundation in The Mighty Stride event taking in 23 miles around Glasgow.
“it is a challenge, but my colleagues and me are looking forward the the sights and sounds of this huge event and to boosting the donations from supporters by an extra 40%” said Jeremy in recognition of the fact that for every £1 of sponsorship the team receive, an additional 40% is donated from Sir Tom Hunter.*
“It is a real motivation that our hard work and the donations from our friends and family will secure this added value”
In training for the walk, Jeremy has been “up a few hills” and will be sourcing suitable attire for the challenge:
“I need a good kilt to wear on the day. We all want to join in the spirit of the event knowing that we are part of the bigger charitable mission of the College and the HOPE Foundation to overcome barriers to healthcare, save lives and ensure access to quality care in our local and worldwide communities.”
