College welcomes new Acting President of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh

President of the College, Professor Jackie Taylor, has welcomed Professor Angela Thomas as Acting President of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.

President of the College, Professor Jackie Taylor, has welcomed Professor Angela Thomas as Acting President of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh:

“Professor Angela Thomas has been appointed acting President of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and I look forward to working with her. RCPE and RCPL are important partners of ours in the Federation of Colleges of Physicians UK, and our Colleges will continue to work together in the true spirit of partnership and collegiality.

“I wish Professor Andrew Elder, who has recently stepped down, every success for the future. Professor Elder has made significant contributions to his own College, to the development of examinations and assessments and to his clinical field of Geriatric Medicine. I hope that he will continue to use his many skills for the benefit of the wider profession.”
