A Journey of Human Movement

Explore how the journey of human movement is relevant to your clinical practice at Excellence in Healthcare

A Journey of Human Movement

The podiatric medicine conference, A Journey of Human Movement, will take place on 9 June 2017 as part of our fourth international triennial conference, Excellence in Healthcare.

A Journey of Human Movement will highlight the developments in assessing human movement, and help you to better understand the journey and how it is relevant to you in clinical practice.

Mandy Abbott, Conference Director, gives an overview of what you can expect from the conference in her short video.

The conference will cover the developing gait, the adult gait looking at low and high risk, and the elderly gait and falls. Conference speakers are internationally renowned lecturers from the UK, Europe and Australia, including:

  • Professor Hylton Menz, La Trobe University, Australia
  • Dr Jill Phethean, Salford University
  • Dr Sicco Bus, the University of Amsterdam

During the conference we will also have a live web link with the Gait Lab at Glasgow Caledonian University, where we will be collecting live data in an interactive session with Professor Jim Woodburn.
