Professor Paul Knight has been awarded an OBE for services to Geriatric Healthcare in the 2017 New Year’s Honours List.

Professor Paul Knight OBE

Professor Paul Knight, past Registrar of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, has been awarded an OBE for services to Geriatric Healthcare.

Professor Knight, who is Associate Medical Director for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine, served consecutively as Honorary Secretary and Registrar for the College between 2004 and 2009.

In addition to his inclusion on the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list, Professor Knight has been appointed to serve a four year term on the GMC’s Council from 1 January 2017.
