We are committed to working with all agencies across the UK to secure and improve healthcare delivery. Our mission to ensure the best standards of care for patients is uninfluenced by politics and we will continue to do all we can to support the best decisions for the NHS in Scotland and the rest of the UK.

We are determined in partnership with the other Scottish Royal Colleges, the Scottish Academy and the Scottish Government to address the critical issue of recruitment and retention of medical staff at all levels in Scotland. It is important that we identify the reasons behind the disappointing figures in this regard and put in place urgently methods to reverse this situation.

We reaffirm our commitment to work in collaboration with all four nations of the UK in areas of education, standards, training and quality of care in medicine, surgery, dentistry, travel medicine and podiatric medicine.
