Trainee Fees Now Tax Deductible

HMRC have recently confirmed that JCST (Joint College of Surgical Training) fees are now tax deductible.

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow offers a service to all trainees that allows them to combine their JCST fee with their subscription fees in a direct debit payment. The complete payment now qualifies as a tax deductible expense.

This is excellent news for trainees, both in terms of ease of payment and in financial savings.

The college is currently seeking clarification from HMRC regarding JRCPTB fees.
