Our College Spaces

Our College’s Honorary Librarian, Dr Morven McElroy, has written about spaces you can enjoy and access within our building:

Did you know that there are spaces in our College that you can access Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm?

The Library’s reading room on the second floor in particular is an area that is open to Fellows and Members Monday to Friday. I have to admit our College can be a bit of a warren at times, so the easiest way to get there is to take the lift from the Crush Hall to the second floor! If you do find the stairs, (there are a few staircases) you will get to pass by the portrait of the longest serving Librarian, Alexander Duncan.

The reading room not only has access to medical texts and journals, WiFi and a computer suite, but has a seating area with tea and coffee and newspapers which is great for down time.

So if you would like a space outwith the hospital to study, research or pass some time please don’t forget our College Library reading room!
