Leadership development programme – Tomorrow’s Strategic Leader

The Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management’s Tomorrow’s Strategic Leader programme is currently open for applications. The programme is an expert-driven leadership development programme designed for consultants, senior trainees and GPs.

The programme covers a comprehensive syllabus including key management skills, in-depth studies of leadership and teamworking, how the NHS functions, local and national politics and working with the media. Participants will be expected to commit to all 13 days’ of the programme, taking place over an 18-month period, starting in December 2019.

External, independent evaluation of the first programme was very strong. On average, a 10% progression in the leadership competence of the participants occurred over a 12 month period.

Funding from the Dinwoodie Charitable Company has made it possible to provide a £1,000 subsidy towards the programme fee, bringing the cost down to £5,995 for FMLM members and £6,995 for non-members.

Participants on the programme will benefit from a fee-free application for Fellowship of the Faculty.*

Deadline for applications: Monday, 18 November 2019

To nominate a member of your team please email:  events@fmlm.ac.uk

*Please note that participation in this programme does not guarantee the award of Associate Fellowship, which is determined by an independent panel.
